Young Professionals Restoring Their City

Indonesia covers 17,000 islands stretch wider than the U.S.

About 60% of the population has no Gospel Witness

Why Jakarta?

Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world, ranking behind only China, India, and the United States. Its 17,000 islands stretch wider than the United States. With a country population that is 85% Muslim and 60% without Gospel witness, the task of proclaiming the good news of Christ is a God-sized one, particularly for the evangelical church there which constitutes only 2.8% of the population. There is also great disparity among the rich and the poor: Indonesia is the 8th richest country in the world, yet 40% of their people live on less than $2 a day. However, there is a growing population of young Christian marketplace leaders who return to Jakarta after studying overseas wanting to make an impact in the city. They are entrepreneurs, future business owners, managers, and more.

We started our first cohort in Jakarta in 2016 and have already had six successful cohorts. We are continuing to grow in Jakarta and started a cohort in Medan in 2022. We looking to expand our leadership cohorts in the surrounding regions.
