The Long Run

Ours is a time of speed. Sprints. Optimisation. Productivity hacks. Metrics and KPIs.Moving targets and built-in obsolescence. We need to “stay on top”, “get ahead” or at least not lag too much behind. “Adapt or risk becoming irrelevant”, we’re being told. Lifelong learning used to mean a coherent journey of cultivating a vocation, not a demand for constant reinvention of the self. Confusing times. Tired times.

What does it mean to live well? To run the long race and finish well?

We invite you to join us as we delve into the art of playing the long game, persevering through the good race, and cultivating a long run mindset to guide us through when everything seems to be in flux.

The Long Run centers on two deeply biblical themes: radical immediate obedience and humble service.
In a time marked by constant reinvention and the pursuit of the next opportunity and a bigger platform,
Crawford argues that lasting influence belongs to those who faithfully remain where God has called them.
Character is not formed overnight but through our daily focus on the Gospel over a long-term period.
True leadership is measured not by personal achievement but by the people we serve, encourage, and equip to flourish.
Success, then, is not defined by how quickly we rise or how big our platform is but by how faithfully we endure.
Finishing well is the fruit of steadfast obedience, humble service, and God's sustaining grace.

    We are living through a moment of rapid change and ever-increasing expectations for productivity and platform.
    But for most of us, life is truly lived in the midst of ordinary work and relatively unremarkable days.
    This workshop explores practices for living well through dramatic change and the surprising significance
    and holiness of an ordinary life of steady intention.

  • Tricia Osolin, “Clarity Wins in the Long Run: People won’t join a story they don’t understand”

    Every organization has a story. You don’t have to worry about CREATING one, but you DO need to uncover the story that’s already there.
    As organizations grow, their mission often becomes harder to explain. In this workshop, we'll look at how clarity (rather than complexity) helps people understand your purpose, see themselves in your mission, and remember your story long after the conversation ends.

A reverse way of achieving.
It is not about achieving or striving; it is about recognizing who you are and diving into that identity,
regardless of the material/rational dimension.
A different measure of success: surrender and obedience rather than control.
The way up is the way down.
